Keepy-Uppy Challenge!!
Good morning Brandesburton! Today I’d like to introduce to you a bit of a challenge for the next two weeks. As you can see by the title it’s called the Keepy-Uppy challenge!! All I want you to do it to try and keep an object in the air either with your body or with some form of equipment for as long as you can!!
Some of the staff have been having a go at school to give you some ideas.
Can you beat any of us?!
So there you go. You can have a go at the challenges we have done or even better show us something new!! What ideas have you got? What different things can you keep in the air?! You can even get your parents involved! See who can keep your chosen item in the air the longest! We can not wait to see your ideas.
Good luck Brandesburton!!
EXTRA CHALLENGE!
Now for all you keen footballers out there I thought I would set you an incredibly difficult Keepy-Uppy challenge for you and any parents to have a go at. Have a little look at the videos below to find out more.
So there we go Brandesburton. Some PE challenges for you all to have a go at. Good luck and we all can not wait to see your ideas and attempts!

Hornsea Cluster Virtual Cross Country
We have now received the fantastic results from the Virtual Cross Country. We won the 3/4 boys, 5/6 boys, 3/4 girls and came second in the 5/6 girls. This means we are now through to the Partnership Race. Mr Barnes will post further information when he receives it.
Santa Dash
The children and staff completed a Santa Dash around the school track. Some of the staff ‘dressed’ for the occasion and everyone had good fun taking part.

Virtual Cross Country !!
Well done to the whole of KS2 who competed in the virtual cross country event on Wednesday morning. This event replaced the cross country event at Hornsea School where we normally compete against schools in the area However this year, due to COVID, a member of the SSP is going round each school in the cluster setting up the same race distance so we can still compete “virtually”. Results will be out in due course. Year 5/6 children ran 1200m and Year 3/4 ran 800m – it was a long way!!
May I just add how immensely proud I was of every single person that took part. Everyone gave their best and everyone ran with a smile on their face. It was brilliant and just showed how important PE is to school life.
Mr B
It’s this way!!!!
Well done to the orienteering team that attended Hornsea Primary School on Wednesday evening. Mr Barnes and Miss McIntyre said they all did extremely well. Once we know the points scored we will let you know the results. Well done team!
Sports Hall Athletics
The children were amazing at the Sports hall athletics final working to their own personal best and enjoying being part of a team. Brandesburton finished overall in second place. Well done everyone!
